LAMDA Sessions In School
In 30 minute 1:1 or 1:2 LAMDA Sessions during the school day or after school, students learn vital performance and communication skills and work with a variety of different material informed by the syllabus (e.g monologues, speeches, poetry), with the end goal being to prepare one or two pieces to perform off by heart in a LAMDA Exam.
These prestigious exams are graded (with certificates awarded) and considered an amazing achievement recognised and viewed highly by educational institutions - with Grade 6 and above exams even qualifying for earning UCAS points!
My Approach
I believe that the way to truly empower students, and help them build life-long confidence and skills, is to create a nurturing and uplifting environment for students to flourish in. Although my students' results speak for themselves - with a 100% pass rate, and 80% of those results being high level Distinctions - what I teach and how I teach is much more than simply passing an exam.
Yes, students will be taught and prepared to take their LAMDA Exam of choice and encouraged and coached to deliver to their highest potential. That sense of achievement that students gain from this structured syllabus, graded exam and exciting certificate is a wonderful celebration of the entire process.
However, what excites me most about teaching LAMDA is who the student gets to become along the way. I am most passionate about how the journey can help a student blossom into the most confident, self-assured, expressive version of themselves, with an empowered mindset and a strong sense of self-belief.
My Background
As a professional actor who trained at RADA , I have worked on films that have streamed on Netflix and Amazon Prime, premiered at international film festivals and I have played lead roles at various London Theatres. I have used all this experience to impart invaluable wisdom on Acting and Public Speaking skills to my students. I have years of experience as a LAMDA Coach, teaching in some of the most prestigious schools in London and would love to see how I could help your school use LAMDA Exams to help students grow into their fullest potential.
